APS presents proposed 2027 budget to Finance Minister

The management and board of Algemeen Pensioenfonds Sint Maarten (APS) met with the Minister of Finance on Thursday 22 October to present and discuss the fund's proposed 2027 budget, the Government of Sint Maarten said.

According to the government, APS outlined the proposed budget's main considerations and priorities. The meeting also addressed questions about the budget and the assumptions and considerations behind its financial projections.

The government said the parties discussed the legislative framework for participation in APS and options for expanding employer participation. The discussion included applicable requirements and possible implications for APS and participating employers.

APS management said the proposed budget reflects its focus on financial planning and administration of the fund. The government described the meeting as part of its ongoing dialogue with APS on the fund's operations, financial planning and long-term development.
