This is our log, not GEBE’s records. GEBE announces outages on Facebook, which we can’t read automatically, so this is what we saw and verified — not every outage that happened.

How an entry gets here
Four ways, and they differ
GEBE announcement
GEBE said it publicly — a notice on its Facebook page, or a statement carried by the press.
Our reporting
We confirmed it ourselves before logging it, usually with GEBE directly.
Reader reports
Readers told us. The entry stays labelled a reader report — it is not GEBE saying so.
Reported by another outlet
Another outlet reported it and we have not confirmed it independently. The entry names them.
Whichever it was is printed on the entry. An entry stays open until we record the supply coming back; past 24 hours we mark it as one we may simply not have closed.
Report an outage
This is how the log fills up
Tell us the district, whether it was power or water, and roughly when it started and came back. That is the whole record — and it is the part GEBE’s Facebook page doesn’t keep.
We check what we can before logging it, and the entry says it came from a reader.
