Arrindell meets Lebanese ambassador in The Hague

Minister Plenipotentiary Drs. Gracita R. Arrindell met Walid Minkara, Lebanon’s ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in The Hague for a courtesy meeting, Soualiga Newsday reported on 24 September. The meeting covered closer economic and people-to-people ties between Sint Maarten and Lebanon.

According to Soualiga Newsday, the discussion included Lebanese business networks in the Caribbean and Latin America, including commerce, tourism, hospitality and real estate. Arrindell and Minkara also discussed investment, tourism, real estate, services and entrepreneurship, and Sint Maarten’s work on digitalisation and regulatory modernisation.

Soualiga Newsday reported that Arrindell spoke about Sint Maarten’s openness to international business partnerships and investment. Both sides expressed interest in staying in contact and exploring future cooperation and connections between Lebanese business networks and Sint Maarten.
