Connor leads Sint Maarten delegation to PAHO Directing Council
Government says Minister Claret Connor is leading a Sint Maarten delegation at PAHO’s 63rd Directing Council in Washington, D.C.
Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor Claret Connor is leading a Sint Maarten delegation to the 63rd Directing Council of the Pan American Health Organization in Washington, D.C., according to the Government of Sint Maarten. The council was taking place on Monday 28 September at PAHO Headquarters.
The government said Connor was joined by VSA Secretary General Joy Arnell, Head of the Department of Public Health Fenna Arnell and Cabinet Advisor Dominique Hodge.
According to the government, the delegation planned to take part in discussions on health emergency preparedness and response, primary health care, digital transformation in health, disease prevention and elimination, and health-system resilience. It said representatives from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Aruba and Curaçao were also attending.
The government said the delegation would also hold bilateral and technical engagements aimed at Sint Maarten’s public health priorities and its partnership with PAHO.
