Free breast and health screening for women scheduled for 3 October
Women 18 and older can register by 30 September for AUC’s free breast and health screening on 3 October in Philipsburg.
Women aged 18 and older have until Wednesday 30 September to register for a free breast and health screening in Philipsburg. The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine said the screening will run on Saturday 3 October from 8:30am to 3pm AST at Collective Prevention Services, Vineyard Office Park, 33 Buncamper Road.
AUC said its medical students will check participants’ height, weight, vision, blood sugar, blood pressure and total cholesterol. Board-certified oncologist Dr. Naira Chobanyan will perform the breast examinations.
The university said the Positive Foundation and the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labour, Ministry VSA, are supporting the screening. Participants will also receive information about breast cancer signs and symptoms, reducing risk, risk evaluation and risk calculation.
