Friendly Island Softball Classic to raise funds for St. Maarten 37ers U13 team
A Locals vs. Tourists softball game is scheduled for 26 September at Jose Lake Ball Park to support the St. Maarten 37ers U13 trip to Aruba.
The Friendly Island Softball Classic is scheduled for Saturday, 26 September, at Jose Lake Ball Park on Gladiola Road, The People's Tribune reported. The game, presented by the Destined for Greatness Foundation, is due to start at 2pm AST and will match local players against visiting softball players.
Admission will be free and donations will be accepted, according to The People's Tribune. Proceeds are intended to help the St. Maarten 37ers U13 team cover travel, accommodation and tournament costs for the Baseball in Paradise Tournament in Aruba, which begins on 10 October 2026.
The People's Tribune reported that the 37ers operate under the Destined for Greatness Foundation and are back-to-back Little League Champions. The Foundation thanked businesses and organisations supporting the event and team.
