Fitness Attitude Gym Club B.V. and Rooted by Linda will hold MOVE FOR HER, a 24-day step challenge from 1 to 24 October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The People's Tribune reported that organisers have set a community target of 5 million steps.

Participants are encouraged to take 6,500 steps a day, or 150,000 steps over the challenge, according to The People's Tribune. Registration costs US$10, and the organisers said all registration proceeds will support the 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign coordinated by the Positive Foundation and Elektralyets Foundation.

Participants will use the StepUp app to track activity and can join a private Facebook community, The People's Tribune reported. They are also encouraged to wear pink on 7, 14 and 21 October and share their steps, photographs or short videos.

The challenge is due to end with a MOVE FOR HER Closing Community Pink Walk on Saturday, 24 October. The People's Tribune reported that local businesses and community partners have provided prizes for participants at the closing event.
