Nation Opportunity Wealth (NOW) Member of Parliament Lyndon C.J. Lewis shared a message of support for people affected by breast cancer as Breast Cancer Awareness Month began. Lewis said the month is personal for his family because his aunt learned she had breast cancer in October 2015 and died in December that year.

Lewis said a breast cancer diagnosis affects patients as well as their families, friends and caregivers. He encouraged women and families to discuss breast health, seek guidance from healthcare professionals, and support people undergoing testing, treatment or recovery.

Lewis also thanked healthcare professionals, caregivers, volunteers and organisations providing care and assistance to patients and their families. He called for support for people affected by breast cancer to continue after October.
