Parliament resumes its urgent public meeting on traffic accidents and road safety at 10am on Thursday 24 September, the House of Parliament said. The Minister of Justice will attend, according to the House’s meeting notice, which Soualiga Newsday published on Wednesday.
The meeting, adjourned on 7 July, reconvenes in the General Assembly Chamber at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The agenda item, reference IS/1207/2025-2026 of 24 June 2026, is deliberations with the minister on “the increase in traffic accidents and road safety concerns, and other Justice related matters”.
The meeting was requested by MPs Lyndon C.J. Lewis of the Nation Opportunity Wealth Party (NOW), and Omar E.C. Ottley and Francisco A. Lacroes of the United People’s Party (UP).
Members of the public are invited to attend, and everyone visiting the House must follow its house rules, Parliament said. The House of Parliament is across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
