Public voting opens for Rotary Sunset teacher video competition
Voting is open until 30 September for 29 student videos honouring teachers, with prizes for winning students and teachers.
Public voting is open for the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset’s “Inspired by My Teacher” Video Competition, The People’s Tribune reported. The contest drew 29 students from eight schools, and voting closes at 3pm on 30 September.
According to The People’s Tribune, each like on a participant’s video on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube counts as one vote. Supporters can vote for the same entry on all three platforms.
The competition was open to students aged 4 to 18. Participating schools are Learning Unlimited Preparatory School, Methodist Agogic Centre JAG Campus, Sister Regina School, Prins Willem Alexander School, St. Maarten Academy, Seventh Day Adventist School, St. Dominic High School and Sr. Borgia School.
The winning student will receive a tablet and the teacher featured in that entry will receive a hotel weekend stay, The People’s Tribune reported. The second-place student will receive JBL headphones, while the teacher featured will receive a spa treatment.
Videos are available through Rotary Sunset’s Facebook and YouTube pages and its Instagram account, @rotarysxmsunset.
