Registration opens for MMHAF Grade 5 and 6 spoken word competition
MMHAF is inviting schools to register Grade 5 and 6 boys for its spoken word competition on 10 October in Philipsburg.
The Men’s Mental Health Awareness Foundation is inviting schools across Sint Maarten to register Grade 5 and Grade 6 boys for its fifth Annual Interscholastic Spoken Word Competition, The People’s Tribune reported. The competition is scheduled for Saturday, 10 October, at the Philipsburg Cultural Center, beginning at 7pm AST.
According to The People’s Tribune, students will use spoken word to address mental health, emotions, life experiences and issues affecting young people. Participants will compete in two rounds, with performances judged on creativity, originality, freedom of expression, delivery and connection with the audience.
The newspaper reported that prizes will be awarded during the competition. Schools can register through a link on the foundation’s Facebook page.
