The Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication (TEATT) said it published lists on Wednesday 30 September of bus and taxi operators that completed its 2026 Confirmation Letter Process. The Inspectorate of Economic and Transport Affairs (IETA) verified 130 passenger buses and 399 taxis, according to the ministry.

TEATT said permit holders whose plates are not listed have until 4pm AST on Wednesday 14 October to notify IETA of their operating status and complete outstanding requirements. Operators who have stopped operating must submit a signed letter explaining their inactive status and a copy of their permit.

The ministry said documentation for outstanding applications includes a tax declaration with the company CRIB number, vehicle inspection cards, insurance information, the relevant transport permit, Chamber of Commerce registration and 2026 road-tax receipts. It said operators who do not respond or regularise their status may be referred for administrative action.

Under Article 16(g) of the National Ordinance on Passenger Transport, TEATT said the minister may temporarily suspend or permanently revoke a permit that has not been used continuously for more than six months.
