The Setai projects more than 550 jobs as it joins National Job Fair

The Setai St. Maarten attended Thursday’s National Job Fair 2026 at the National Employment Services Center, where its representatives spoke with job seekers and visitors, The People’s Tribune reported. The resort, which is under construction and targets a 2028 opening, projects a workforce of more than 550 people, The People’s Tribune reported. It expects more than 440 positions, more than eight in 10, to be filled by St. Maarten residents.

The People’s Tribune reported that The Setai plans to work with secondary and vocational schools, offer annual internships and apprenticeships, and provide hospitality certifications. It also plans a culinary apprenticeship influenced by the Alain Ducasse tradition and a management track from supervisory roles to executive leadership.

The newspaper reported projections including about 60 management and corporate-services jobs, about 135 food-and-beverage roles and more than 185 guest-services and wellness posts. Those figures are within, not in addition to, the projected 550-plus workforce.
