In a statement dated Monday 19 October, the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) said it selected Christianna Paul of Dominica and Tristan Ward of Barbados for its Caribbean Climate Leaders Fellowship. The fully funded professional development programme is supported by the Caribbean Development Bank.

According to the CCCCC, Paul and Ward will join its delegation to the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, known as COP31, in Antalya, Türkiye, from 9 to 20 November 2026.

The CCCCC said applications were open from 10 to 21 August to CARICOM Member State nationals aged 18 to 30. It said the fellowship includes training, mentorship, knowledge sharing and practical engagement intended to build participants’ climate-change knowledge and leadership, communication and advocacy skills.
