USM hosts public lecture on perimenopause and menopause
USM said its 15 October public lecture covered menopause symptoms, treatment options and questions from attendees.

The University of St. Martin said it held a public lecture on perimenopause and menopause on Thursday 15 October, in observance of World Menopause Day. USM said the session brought together women, students, health professionals, herbalists, other members of the public and men.
Dr. Laurien Reinders, a general practitioner; Kenan L’Homme, a certified naturopathic practitioner and menopause coach; and Amy Arrindell, educator, counsellor, author and founder and CEO of Amy Arrindell Knowledge Toolbox, formed the panel. Khalilah Peters moderated the discussion, according to USM.
USM said the panel discussed physical, hormonal and emotional changes linked to perimenopause and menopause, as well as hormone replacement therapy, mental health, intimacy, fitness, lifestyle adjustments and natural and herbal approaches.
Attendees could submit questions anonymously or speak directly with the panel during a question-and-answer segment, USM said. The university said registered participants will receive copies of the presentations by email.
