USM visits Ocean View Academy to discuss higher education paths
USM staff and student Christopher Rogers met Ocean View Academy students on Wednesday 30 September to discuss local higher education options.

The University of St. Martin said its staff visited Ocean View Academy on Wednesday 30 September to discuss higher education, future planning and study options after high school. Shobhan Giterson of Marketing and Communications, Manager of Finance and Operations Robert Judd, and USM student Christopher Rogers represented the university.
USM said students asked questions about college life, expectations, programmes and opportunities available locally. Rogers, an Ocean View Academy alumnus, spoke about his move from high school to USM and the responsibility students take on in college.
According to USM, Rogers is pursuing an Associate of Arts in General Liberal Arts (Math & Science) and is taking skills courses including English, Computer Information Systems and Mathematics. He also discussed USM activities including SGA Unity Evening and Lit Night.
USM said its team also met with Todd Chisholm and Kimberley Babin of Ocean View Academy. The university said they exchanged ideas about continued cooperation to expose students to education opportunities and help them make decisions about their futures.
