Sint Maarten’s Valeska Laurant has earned the Distinguished Toastmaster designation, Toastmasters International’s highest educational award, according to District 223. The designation recognises development in communication and leadership.

District 223 said Laurant joined Toastmasters in 2018. She served as Area Director during the 2021-2022 programme year and as Division I Director for District 81 during the 2023-2024 programme year.
