Whos Ari addresses St. Maarten Academy students on school fights
The People’s Tribune reported that creator Whos Ari spoke to St. Maarten Academy students about avoiding school fights.
GREAT BAY — Content creator Whos Ari spoke to students at St. Maarten Academy about school fights, social-media attention and resolving disagreements without violence, The People’s Tribune reported. The outlet said Ari is a former Academy student who was invited back by the school.
The People’s Tribune reported that Ari had drawn criticism after posting a video asking young people about fighting. At the Academy, he told students that recording and sharing fights online was not worth possible suspensions, injuries or harm to their futures.
According to The People’s Tribune, Ari encouraged students to speak directly when disagreements arise, walk away from people trying to provoke them and seek help from teachers, counsellors or other adults.
The outlet also reported that Ari asked influencer Certified Sampson to record a message for young people about school violence and fighting. Teen Times, which The People’s Tribune said first reported the initiative, has posted the video and its coverage on Facebook and Instagram at @teentimessxm.
