WIB holds Walk-a-Thon through Philipsburg and Little Bay
WIB says its rescheduled Walk-a-Thon brought employees, customers, families and community members together on Sunday 27 September.
Windward Islands Bank held its “Walking into the Future – Building Progress” Walk-a-Thon on Sunday 27 September. According to WIB, participants gathered at its Bush Road Digital Branch from 5:30am AST before leaving at 6am.
WIB said the route went through Bush Road, Welgelegen Road, Church Hill, Little Bay and Philipsburg before returning to the branch. The bank said employees assisted with registration, coordination and participant support, while the St. Maarten Red Cross provided assistance during the walk.
According to WIB, fruit stations and water refill stations were available along the route, and participants returned to the branch for breakfast after the walk. WIB said the event had been scheduled for 30 August but was postponed because of adverse weather.
