WIB staff support reading activities at three Sint Maarten schools
WIB said staff provided weekly Dutch-language support at Sister Borgia and read with pupils at two other schools during September.
Windward Islands Bank (WIB) said its staff took part in reading and language activities at Sister Borgia, St. Dominic Primary School and St. Joseph School during September, which it identified as Literacy Month and SDG Month. At Sister Borgia, WIB staff provide weekly Dutch-language support. Staff also visited St. Dominic Primary School and St. Joseph School to read with pupils.
WIB said the activities add to its support for education and literacy initiatives. The bank named the D.E.A.R. initiative at the University of St. Martin, Reading Festival 2026, and a Beyond Kultura Events Foundation book project that aims to distribute 600 books to schools and the library across Sint Maarten. WIB linked the efforts to Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education.
