COCI opens nominations for 2027 board election
COCI will accept nominations from Friday 30 October to noon Monday 16 November for three board seats opening in 2027.

The St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry, COCI, will open nominations on Friday 30 October for three board positions that will become vacant on 1 January 2027. The chamber said nomination forms must be submitted by noon on Monday 16 November.
COCI said voters listed in its Commercial Register are classified as large businesses when their companies have at least Cg100,000 in capital investment. Businesses below that threshold are classified as small businesses. The chamber said eligible voters must be Sint Maarten residents with Dutch citizenship who have been listed in the register for one year in specified company roles.
Board members serve three-year terms, with one-third of the membership stepping down each year by rotation, according to COCI. The chamber also advised businesses seeking to take part in the election to settle outstanding bills. The advice was attributed to its president, identified only as T. Leonard.
