Fire and Ambulance departments plan Cay Hill open house on 12 October

The Government of Sint Maarten says the Fire Department and Ambulance Department will hold an open house on Monday 12 October from 10am to 7pm AST at the Fire and Ambulance Station at Jackal Road 5 in Cay Hill. Fire Chief and National Disaster Coordinator Clive Richardson said the event is intended to promote safety, prevention and the safe use of green energy sources.

According to the Government, visitors will be able to tour the facilities and emergency vehicles, view response equipment and meet firefighters and Emergency Medical Services personnel. The event, themed “Think Green, Think Safety,” will also address fire and safety considerations involving battery-powered systems, electric vehicles and renewable energy technologies.

The Government says the open house will include demonstrations, hands-on activities, safety education, food and beverages, and a Kids Zone with music and entertainment. For emergencies, call 911 or 919. Non-emergency event inquiries can be directed to 543-1316.
