More than 200 community members joined the Annual Pink Parade in Philipsburg on Friday 2 October, according to the Positive Foundation and Elektralyets Foundation. The foundations organised the walk as part of their 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, which focuses on education, awareness, early detection, survivorship and support.

The foundations said cancer survivors, caregivers, advocates, healthcare supporters, organisations, schools, corporate partners, parliamentarians and residents took part in the parade. During October, the campaign is offering free clinical breast examinations through participating clinics and healthcare providers. The foundations also said they are working with St. Maarten Medical Center to provide 100 free mammograms for uninsured women who qualify through screening referrals, on a first-come, first-served basis.
