Government has set out how public comments will be handled during consultation on the draft National Gambling Ordinance, which opens on Monday 26 October and closes on Friday 4 December 2026. Government said submissions will be registered, assessed and considered before the proposal moves into the formal advisory and legislative process.

The draft Kansspelenverordening, its explanatory memorandum and consultation information will be available from 26 October at gamblingauthority.sx/consultationLVO, according to Government. The official legislative documents will be published in Dutch, with supporting material in English. Government said anyone may submit a response without an invitation.

Government said comments may lead to changes to the draft ordinance, explanatory memorandum or proposed implementation arrangements. It said participation does not mean every recommendation will be adopted.

Targeted stakeholder sessions are scheduled for 6 to 12 November 2026. Government said relevant organisations will receive direct invitations, while other interested stakeholders may register their interest through the consultation website from 26 October. Taking part in those sessions is separate from submitting comments through the public consultation.
