KPSM and Marechaussee report crime-prevention operations
KPSM said joint operations with the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee found two firearms and two fraudulent driver's licences.

The Police Force of St. Maarten (KPSM) said on Tuesday 3 November that joint crime-prevention operations with the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee resulted in the confiscation of two firearms and two fraudulent driver's licences. KPSM said the operations included vehicle inspections, enforcement actions and patrols.
According to KPSM, officers checked 175 vehicles and issued eight official reports for violations. The police recorded four incidents involving suspected offences under the Opium Ordinance and responded to a shooting in Fort Willem.
KPSM said additional night-time patrols were carried out in Maho and Cupecoy, with attention to robbery prevention and other criminal activity. The police said joint controls and patrols will continue in the coming weeks as preparations are made for the tourist season.
KPSM urged residents to cooperate with officers conducting controls and to report suspicious activity.
