KPSM investigates attempted jewellery store robbery in Maho

The Police Force of Sint Maarten, KPSM, is investigating an attempted robbery at a jewellery store in Maho on Thursday 8 October. KPSM said Central Dispatch received several calls at about 8:50pm AST. Footage circulating on social media showed three male suspects in dark clothing trying to force open the glass door at the store’s main entrance, police said.

The suspects did not get into the store, according to KPSM. Police said they left in a vehicle parked in front of the business and drove toward Lowlands and the French side. Patrol officers, detectives and the Forensic Department attended the scene and collected evidence.

KPSM asked anyone who saw suspicious activity, the suspects or their vehicle to contact the police station at +1 (721) 542-2222 or the anonymous tip line at 9300.
