Motorworld and S.L. Horsford & Co. Ltd., through Horsford’s Automotive, introduced the Chery vehicle brand in St. Kitts and Nevis on Friday 25 September. The launch was held at Horsford’s Automotive on Wellington Road.

Motorworld and Horsford’s Automotive said guests were shown Chery’s SUV range. The companies said the event drew customers, partners, media and invited guests.

The launch included cultural presentations by masquerades and mock jumbies. Motorworld Executive Chairman Tariq Amjad said the company partnered with Horsford’s Automotive to bring the brand to St. Kitts and Nevis.

Horsford’s Group Executive Chairman Anthony Kelsick said Chery gave customers another option for new vehicles. Automotive Executive Joel MacEachrane said the line-up was chosen with customers in mind.

Horsford’s Group Marketing Manager Wallis Wilkin said a promotional campaign ran before the launch. Motorworld said Chery’s regional presence is growing across the Caribbean.
