Horsford’s Automotive to launch GAC and AION vehicles in Basseterre
Horsford’s Automotive will introduce GAC and AION vehicles at an open day in Basseterre on Saturday 31 October.

Horsford’s Automotive will launch the GAC brand and its AION electric-vehicle range on Saturday 31 October at its Wellington Road showroom in Basseterre, according to S.L. Horsford & Co. Ltd. The company said it is GAC’s authorised local dealer in St. Kitts and Nevis.
S.L. Horsford said the launch follows the St. Kitts and Nevis government’s reduction of import duty on qualifying fully electric vehicles from 45% to 10%, effective 1 May 2026. The company said the policy forms part of the government’s Decarbonised Roadway Initiative for Vehicle Electrification, known as DRIVE.
The range includes the GAC AION V, GAC HYPTEC HT, AION UT, GAC GS3 EMZOOM and GAC EMKOO, S.L. Horsford said. It said the vehicles will carry an eight-year or 160,000-kilometre vehicle warranty, while electric-vehicle battery coverage extends to 200,000 kilometres, subject to model and warranty conditions.
The company said its open day begins at 8am AST and will include vehicle displays, financing discussions and test drives of selected models.
