PBN marks 33 years of broadcasting in Sint Maarten

PBN marked 33 years of broadcasting on 29 October, saying it operates five radio stations and Francis Carty has led it for more than 20 years.

Motor boats are moored in a marina of dark blue water, ringed by terracotta and cream apartment buildings with a tower, under a blue sky with clouds.

Philipsburg Broadcasting Network, PBN, marked 33 years of broadcasting on Thursday 29 October, saying it operates five radio stations in Sint Maarten. The company listed Laser 101.1, Oasis 96.3, Mix 94.7, Tropixx 105.5 and Inspire 106.3 among its stations.

PBN said co-owner and General Manager Francis Carty has provided leadership for more than 20 years and is the voice behind its Good Morning, Mr. Governor segment. The company also said its stations provided weather updates, emergency advisories and information on relief services during Hurricanes Luis in 1995 and Irma in 2017.
