Royal Caribbean plans US$3 billion investment in Sandals and Beaches
Royal Caribbean Group plans to buy a 50% stake in Sandals and Beaches Resorts, with the deal expected to close in early 2027.

Royal Caribbean Group plans to acquire a 50% equity interest in Sandals and Beaches Resorts for about US$3 billion, Soualiga Newsday reported, citing the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA). The transaction would combine Royal Caribbean Group with the Sandals and Beaches resort brands.
The companies expect the deal to close in early 2027, subject to customary approvals and closing conditions, according to the FCCA.
FCCA President Adam Ceserano said the proposed partnership could create closer links between cruise and land-based tourism in the Caribbean. The association said travellers may combine cruises with pre- or post-cruise hotel stays, or return to destinations they first visited while cruising.
Royal Caribbean Group’s vacation portfolio includes Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea. FCCA congratulated Royal Caribbean Group Chairman and CEO Jason Liberty and Sandals Resorts Executive Chairman Adam Stewart on the proposed partnership.
