SXM Airport schedules Princess Walk on runway for 18 October
Princess Juliana International Airport says its breast cancer awareness walk will return to the runway on Sunday 18 October.

Princess Juliana International Airport said it will hold its Princess Walk on the airport runway on Sunday 18 October as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The airport said it is organising the event with the Elektralyets Foundation and the Positive Foundation, and that this will be the second time the walk has taken place on the runway.
According to the airport, participants must register in advance and should gather at the terminal building at 4am AST. Transport to the runway is due to begin at 4:45am, with the last bus scheduled for 5:15am and the walk set to start at 5:30am. The airport said water and Johnny Cakes will be provided.
The airport said official Princess Walk T-shirts cost US$20 and that proceeds will benefit the Elektralyets Foundation and the Positive Foundation. It said payment can be made by cash or card when shirts are collected at the Meet & Greet area in the Arrival Hall.
Throughout October, the airport said it will illuminate its façade in pink and display a pink ribbon at the terminal. The walk’s theme is “Crown Yourself with Courage – Lace Up, Step Up, Check Up!”
