TEATT Minister plans talks with ATV operators on road safety
TEATT Minister Grisha Heyliger-Marten said on Wednesday 28 October that ATV operators will be consulted on road use and safety.

TEATT Minister Grisha Heyliger-Marten said on Wednesday 28 October that she will meet ATV tour operators and representatives of the Ministries of VROMI and Justice. According to the minister, the consultations will address road safety, traffic obstruction and routes used by organised ATV excursions.
The discussions will examine whether certain routes are suitable, as well as safety and security matters and requirements for ATV operators and participants, Heyliger-Marten said. She said the meetings are intended to identify practical solutions and consider whether rules governing ATV operations need changes.
Heyliger-Marten said public roads are used by residents, public transportation providers, emergency vehicles and visitors. She also called on motorists to follow traffic regulations, citing dangerous overtaking, blocked intersections and failures to give way as practices that can worsen traffic conditions and put road users at risk.
The minister said other tourism activities of a similar nature would also be addressed.
