TEATT outlines Cg 22.5 million in proposed 2027 capital investments
Minister Grisha Heyliger-Marten presented draft plans including a Cg 10.5 million MET and Civil Aviation building.

Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication Grisha Heyliger-Marten presented approximately Cg 22.5 million in potential capital investments for 2027 while presenting TEATT's draft National Budget in Parliament on Tuesday 3 November. Heyliger-Marten said the figure represents projects that may be advanced during 2027 and does not guarantee that all will be carried out that year.
The largest proposed item is about Cg 10.5 million to build a shared facility for the Meteorological Department and Civil Aviation, with a further Cg 525,000 identified for equipment. The draft also lists about Cg 5.1 million for tourism product development and improvements, and about Cg 4.2 million in tourism-related property investments. Heyliger-Marten identified public spaces and tourism infrastructure in Philipsburg, including Front Street, among areas for improvement.
Heyliger-Marten said the Cg 15 million allocated to the Claude Wathey Square project in the approved 2026 National Budget remains in the capital programme, although it does not appear in the 2027 capital investment table. She said capital projects require planning and applicable procedures before implementation.
The programme also includes about Cg 1.2 million for development of the agricultural agency. The minister said TEATT intends to invest in digital infrastructure, including business licensing, digital case management, service platforms, enforcement systems and marketplace development.
Heyliger-Marten said projects remain subject to preparation, financing arrangements where applicable, procurement requirements and the capacity of responsible departments. She said the ministry's 2027 policy direction includes economic diversification, tourism development, consumer protection, regulatory enforcement and institutional strengthening.
