VROMI presented 2027 priorities including road works, waste management, housing, a Belvedere cemetery site and permit digitalisation.

VROMI said Cg 1.5 million of the road allocation is in its operational budget for pothole repairs, road and pedestrian markings, and drainage maintenance. A further Cg 9 million is planned for capital works, including Cg 5 million for main-road asphalting and Cg 4 million for unpaved side roads. Of that capital amount, Cg 3.5 million is guaranteed through road-tax financing, while Cg 5.5 million depends on a pending capital-loan request.
The ministry also identified about Cg 1.5 million for developing a Road Fund Policy, Road Network Plan, supporting studies and a database. It plans to begin implementing a new Building Code in January 2027 and to start implementation and monitoring of the 10-year National Housing Plan.
Among new capital requests, VROMI listed Cg 3.5 million for site preparation for the proposed Belvedere cemetery, Cg 2 million to digitalise and automate building-permit assessments, and Cg 1.6 million for sewage-network upgrades. The presentation also listed Cg 3.1 million for the Dutch Quarter House Development project and Cg 2.7 million from the Resettlement Trust Fund for relocation linked to the Emergency Debris Management Project.
VROMI said its waste-management allocation includes about Cg 6.9 million for collection, Cg 2.6 million for landfill management and maintenance, and Cg 1.1 million for the wastewater treatment plant. It also plans waste legislation, a Waste Export Assessment, an Environmental Impact Assessment policy and a Waste Investment Fund.
The ministry said it has about Cg 1.1 million in external funding for a legally binding national zoning framework intended to consolidate 13 draft zoning plans. It also projected Cg 20.2 million in 2027 revenue from land leases, GEBE-related concessions and fees, permits, and inspections.
