On Thursday 29 October, World Population Review named Anguilla the safest of six Caribbean destinations in its 2026 ranking. The British Overseas Territory ranked ahead of Barbados, St. Barthélemy, Martinique, the Cayman Islands and Aruba.

World Population Review cited Anguilla’s low crime levels and reputation for peaceful surroundings and welcoming hospitality. Travel Off Path also ranked Anguilla third among the world’s 10 safest islands and gave it 93 out of 100 on its Traveler Safety Index.

Travel Off Path said its index draws on official security data and traveller ratings. Anguilla Tourist Board Director of Tourism Jameel Rochester said the recognition reflected visitors’ experience of comfort and welcome, along with the island’s beaches, culinary offerings and residents.

Board Chairman Sean Richard said Anguilla aimed to develop tourism in ways that benefit residents, protect the environment and maintain a high-quality visitor experience.
