Arrindell, Dutch state secretary discuss digital cooperation

Minister Plenipotentiary Gracita R. Arrindell met Dutch State Secretary for Digital Economy and Sovereignty Willemijn Aerdts for an introductory meeting at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, according to the Office of the Minister Plenipotentiary.

The office said the meeting covered digitalisation, economic cooperation and possible future forms of collaboration. Sint Maarten’s digital identity work, alignment of government systems, cyber security and resilience were among the areas discussed.

Aerdts is holding separate meetings with the Ministers Plenipotentiary of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten on matters of mutual interest, the office said. The parties also discussed continued dialogue and, where appropriate, exchanges of knowledge and experience. Follow-up discussions are expected in the coming months.
