Doran congratulates Cicilia on becoming AVP leader

Egbert J. Doran, leader of the National Alliance faction in Parliament, congratulated Wendrick Cicilia on becoming leader of Aruba’s Aruban People’s Party, the AVP. Cicilia succeeds Aruba Prime Minister Mike Eman, who led the party for approximately 25 years.

Doran said leading a party with a long political history requires vision, determination and commitment to the people it serves. He said a change in leadership can allow an organisation to build on its earlier foundation while bringing fresh perspectives, and wished Cicilia wisdom, strength and success. Doran also extended his best wishes to the AVP under Cicilia’s leadership.
