DUO and OCW-CG will hold an information evening on the Dutch State Examination of Secondary Education at Liseo Boneriano in Kralendijk, Bonaire, on Thursday 5 November. The session will run from 19:00 to 21:00 AST at Kaya Amsterdam z/n.

According to DUO and OCW-CG, the evening is for school-going young people, their parents and carers, and others in the region who want to take state exams on Bonaire. The agencies will explain the exam, who can take it and how it compares with regular education.

DUO and OCW-CG said the session will also cover registration, costs, exam dates and locations, and preparation. Candidates can take a full subject package or individual subjects over several years. Certificates can be combined toward a diploma that DUO and OCW-CG said is the same as a regular diploma.

Dutch secondary state exams have been available on Bonaire since 2011 in various subjects at VMBO, HAVO and VWO levels, according to DUO and OCW-CG.
