Ministry welcomes business donations of security cameras, MP Roseburg says

MP Sjamira Roseburg said on Wednesday 30 September that businesses can donate security cameras while authorities retain control of placement.

A white stone obelisk inscribed 1648 and 1948 stands on a stepped plinth between flagpoles, with trees and a cloudy sky behind.

Businesses can donate security-camera equipment to the Ministry as part of public-safety efforts, Member of Parliament Sjamira Roseburg said after a Central Committee meeting on Wednesday 30 September. Roseburg said the Ministry confirmed that donations are welcome.

Roseburg said donors cannot direct the Minister or police on camera locations or priority areas. She said decisions on placement would remain with the authorities and would be based on security needs.

The Minister said businesses that want to donate can contact the Ministry directly, including by email, according to Roseburg. Roseburg encouraged interested business owners to do so and said private-sector donations can support law enforcement while authorities retain control of planning and operating the camera network.
