Member of Parliament Lyndon Lewis of the Nation Opportunity Wealth (N.O.W.) faction has asked Prime Minister Dr. Luc Mercelina for information on cleaning and security employees in the Ministry of General Affairs.

According to Lewis, the request seeks the number of employees in both categories, the departments where they are assigned, the number working without a formal Landsbesluit, or National decree, and their gross monthly salary ranges excluding allowances and overtime.

Lewis said he had received complaints about the working conditions of some cleaning and security employees. He said the complaints raised concerns that some workers may have excessive workloads and could face exhaustion and burnout.

Lewis said the information would help Parliament assess the employment situation within the ministry and determine whether further attention or action may be needed.
