MP Lyndon Lewis calls for more support for Sint Maarten teachers

MP Lyndon Lewis marked International Teachers’ Day on Monday 5 October by calling for support for Sint Maarten educators.

NOW Member of Parliament Lyndon Lewis marked International Teachers’ Day on Monday 5 October by thanking Sint Maarten’s teachers and calling for continued support for educators, according to a statement from Lewis.

Lewis said the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, school boards, parents and the wider community should help ensure teachers have resources, professional development opportunities and safe working environments.

Lewis, a former Minister of Education, said teachers help children and young people develop and called for their concerns, profession and well-being to be respected.
