MP Omar Ottley said government representatives, Members of Parliament and SOL met on Thursday 8 October to discuss fuel pricing and its effect on Sint Maarten. He said the meeting followed a September discussion with the Prime Minister and GEBE, where he called for government to speak directly with SOL about fuel costs supplied to GEBE.

According to Ottley, SOL provided information about its pricing structure and factors affecting its costs. He thanked Robert James and SOL General Manager Collin Francis for taking part in the discussion.

Ottley said he is awaiting BTP findings, which he said would add information to the process. He also said he would continue to press government over commitments concerning fuel pricing and GEBE.
