Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas received the Social and Economic Council of Curaçao's 2025 annual report on Friday 9 October, according to the council. Raul Henriquez, the council's director and secretary-general, presented the report on behalf of the SER and acting chair John Jacobs during the Caribbean United in Excellence Summit.

The report says economic growth should lead to greater economic security, decent work and accessible public services for residents. It says progress should be measured by changes in residents' daily lives, including household purchasing power, job quality, housing affordability, education and health care.

The annual report notes that the Curaçao Tourist Board registered 788,427 overnight visitor arrivals in 2025. It says entrepreneurship, investment, productivity, public services, social security, public finances and predictable government policy are part of the approach it sets out.

According to the SER, representatives of employers and workers discuss policy proposals with independent members through social dialogue. The council issued 12 advisory opinions in 2025, including opinions on tax reform, internship pay, the minimum wage and laboratory diagnostics.
