Telem recognised for support of Oswald Francis children’s book

Telem Group said it has been recognised for financially supporting the publication and distribution of “In Emilio Wilson Park with Uncle Joe”, a children’s book by St. Maarten educator Oswald Francis. The company said it received a signed copy and a token of appreciation after representatives linked to the book’s publication visited its offices.

Victorious Living Publishing, the book’s publisher, welcomed Telem as a Silver Literary Partner in September 2026. The publisher said the support helped distribute copies to schools and other institutions and allowed the book to be sold at a discounted price to some readers.

Victorious Living Publishing said the book’s first print run sold out. A later edition included new illustrations. The book uses stories centred on Emilio Wilson Park to introduce readers to St. Maarten heritage, history and Caribbean identity.
