Minister Plenipotentiary Gracita R. Arrindell attended an official reception in The Hague marking the Republic of Armenia’s 35th anniversary of independence.

Arrindell represented the Government of Sint Maarten at the event, which was hosted by Viktor Biyagov, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. She offered congratulations to Armenia’s government and people, according to the report.

The reception included welcoming remarks by Biyagov and Joanneke Balfoort, Director for Europe at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Representatives of the Dutch government and parliament, diplomatic corps, international organisations, businesses, clergy and the Armenian community attended, the report said.

Arrindell said diplomatic engagements can provide opportunities for dialogue and cooperation, including in tourism, trade and cultural exchange. The programme also included performances by the Armenian Dutch Black Swan Quintet and Armenian food prepared by chefs from Armenia.
