Cg 10,000 reward offered in Ricardo Garces Julio murder investigation
Curaçao’s Prosecutor’s Office has offered Cg 10,000 for information on the 25 September killing of Colombian national Ricardo Garces Julio.

The Prosecutor's Office in Curaçao has offered a Cg 10,000 reward for information that could help the investigation into the killing of Colombian national Ricardo Garces Julio. Curaçao Police Force KPC said Garces Julio was found dead in Santa Cruz Bay on Friday 25 September with a gunshot wound to the head.
KPC said fishermen arriving early that morning saw his body floating in the water and contacted police. Officers responded with assistance from the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard.
Police said they found an unlocked vehicle near Playa Santa Cruz and regarded it as unusual because of the early hour and limited lighting. The front passenger seat was covered in blood, KPC said, and officers secured the area for further investigation.
KPC said detectives are investigating the killing and asked for information about suspicious activity near Playa Santa Cruz around 25 September, or information that could help reconstruct events before the body was found.
