The Caribbean Tourism Organization opened its Caribbean Tourism Month campaign on Monday 2 November under the theme “From Legacy to Leadership: The Caribbean’s Tourism Story Unfolds.” CTO chairman Charles “Max” Fernandez called for stronger regional partnerships, local participation and tourism benefits for communities.

Fernandez, Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment, launched the campaign’s video series, according to the CTO. He said Caribbean tourism goals could not be achieved by destinations acting alone.

Throughout November, tourism ministers and commissioners from participating destinations will post video messages on the CTO’s social media platforms about their tourism histories, achievements and development priorities. The campaign also includes “One Caribbean, Infinite Experiences,” a photography initiative using images submitted by member destinations for the Caribbean Bliss front-cover photography competition.
