ING to open branches on Sint Eustatius and Saba in November

ING says it will open branches on Sint Eustatius on 24 November 2026 and Saba on 26 November 2026.

A cannon on a green carriage at Fort Oranje, St. Eustatius, aimed out to sea with Saba on the horizon.

ING said it will open a branch on Sint Eustatius on Tuesday 24 November 2026, followed by a branch on Saba on Thursday 26 November 2026. The bank said banking services on the islands have been limited and opportunities for in-person contact with a bank have been scarce.

ING said the branches will provide personal support for retail and business customers, including help using its digital services. Retail customers will be able to open a current account, apply for a debit card and use digital banking, while business customers will be able to open a business account.

ING said it prepared for the openings and held discussions with the Ministry of Finance and De Nederlandsche Bank. De Nederlandsche Bank provides cash services on both islands through new ATMs, ING said.

Saba and Sint Eustatius are special municipalities of the Netherlands, are outside the European Union and use the US dollar. ING said its services will be tailored to the islands' legal and regulatory setting, financial infrastructure and local circumstances. The bank said it plans to develop and expand its range of services over time.
