Les Fruits de Mer association will hold a free Migratory Bird Festival from 9am to noon AST on Saturday 10 October at Amuseum Naturalis at The Old House in French Quarter, according to the association. The event will include activities for children and families, including bird games, a craft station and access to the museum’s exhibits and grounds.

The association said it will launch Wetlands Around Me, a bilingual English and French colouring book and nature journal. Free copies will be available while supplies last, and visitors can use a colouring station during the festival.

According to Les Fruits de Mer, the book lets children record observations and draw plants and animals found on St. Martin. The event will also offer BirdSleuth Caribbean activities, including Bird Bingo and a Bird Habitat Scavenger Hunt, as well as a craft activity to decorate a migratory bird-themed wooden box with native tree seeds to plant at home.

Free copies of the book were funded by the State and the Collectivité de Saint-Martin through the Politique de la Ville programme, the association said.
