Group 3 pupils at Sister Borgia Elementary School are scheduled to use the St. Martin Unity Flag activity guide on 4 November.

Group 3 pupils at Sister Borgia Elementary School are scheduled to take part in a St. Martin Unity Flag activity-guide session on Wednesday 4 November, according to House of Nehesi Publishers. The guide is designed for children from kindergarten through Grade 2 and covers the flag, its colours and its meaning.
House of Nehesi Publishers said the classroom session is part of Stories of St. Maarten: A Year of Reading & Discovery, a literacy programme coordinated by project manager Kenty A. Lichtenberg with the Philipsburg Cultural and Community Center. The programme is scheduled to continue through May 2027.
The guide was edited by Aishira Cicilia and Shanice Theodule-Felix. House of Nehesi Publishers said two editions were published in June 2026, including one for kindergarten through Grade 2 and another for Grades 3 through 6.
The publisher said the St. Martin Unity Flag was first unveiled in 1990 and was adopted by the governments on both sides of the island in 2022 as a cultural symbol. St. Martin Day is observed on 11 November.
